Every two years, the Focus on Book Arts (FOBA) Conference meets on the beautiful Pacific University campus in Forest Grove, OR. In past years, all workshop participants were sent a package of objects with instructions to incorporate at least 5 of them into a found object book. The theme that year was "Bamboozled", and so we were to keep that in mind while working on our design. My package included:

- small piece of bamboo, approx. 1" long
- large piece of bamboo, approx. 6" long
- green bamboo image stamped onto a small piece of card stock
- green bamboo image stamped onto fibre-based paper
- a couple of small pieces of fibre-based paper, one green and one peach
- small manila envelope
- a small sculptured face (mine arrived in pieces from going through the mail system)
- metallic piece of fibre-based paper
- speckled piece of card stock
- a maple leaf cutout of green card stock with green string attached (the only object I
  didn't use)

I had a deadline to meet, which always helps me to focus on a project, and so I set to work.
