When satisfied with the final layout of the book, I set to work on the actual construction. First, I wove the linen tape through the placemat to form the pages, leaving enough length for the closure. The closure would be loops of linen tape through which the longer piece of bamboo would be inserted. Next, using double-stick tape, I attached all of the page elements.

Finally, in order to use up as many of the provided objects as possible, I added embellishments to my book. The calligraphy is the symbol for bamboo.
