This little flip book was inspired by an old black and white photograph of a woman with the most pronounced frown that I have ever seen. Through the magic of Adobe PhotoShop, I literally cut out her frown and turned it upside down to create a smile. In this visual story, the woman starts out frowning, but the bee coaxes a smile and soon she's grinning and wagging her head from left to right. The bee buzzes around, lands on her nose, and tickles her ear. (The bee is a frequent element in my flipbooks. I found him on my patio, deceased but still in otherwise perfect condition. I scanned him and he has become an important element in much of my work.)
